USUI REIKI

Healing touch

Reiki is a form of subtle energy that resembles the life force energy that all healers use. This life force energy is referred to as Ki in Japanese healing, prana in Hindu philosophy or Qi in Chinese medicine. In training, a Reiki practitioner becomes attuned to the Reiki energy. This allows the practitioner to be a conduit for the energy to flow through them and into their clients. Reiki can be applied by laying hands on or near the body or by sending Reiki energetically through thought and intention to people or places.

Reiki energy is intelligent, guided by a higher consciousness. The Japanese translation of Reiki is ‘spiritually guided life energy’. It naturally flows to wherever it is needed and can never cause harm. Well-being is achieved through the balance and free flowing of Ki throughout the body. Reiki energy can be used to alleviate energetic blockages of Ki and nourish all cells of the body. This reduces stress, tension and pain while inducing relaxation and healing. Clients leave their sessions feeling calm, grounded, at ease and relieved of stress.

The Science of Reiki

We know that the body is radiating electromagnetic fields and is in constant energetic flux. Many electromagnetic instruments have been developed and are used today in conventional medicine to interact with various human bio-energetic fields. These include MRIs, electrocardiograms, electroencephalograms and many more. Pulse electromagnetic fields (PEMF) devices, which emit extremely low electromagnetic frequencies (0.3-30 Hz) are now approved by the FDA to facilitate bone growth, nerve regeneration and other tissue repair. Scientists have now measured the magnetic fields emitted from a Reiki practitioner’s hands and they emit exactly in this frequency. The Reiki is a natural form of these PEMF devices and helps to facilitate healing in a similar manner.
